Initial

Initial is a fashion brand founded in 2000. Hong Kong’s very own Initial brings a unique convergence of art and lifestyle together in their design.
Today, Initial has 11 stores in Hong Kong.
Yesterday my boyfriend and I visited the store on Cameron road, TST.
First we walked trough a very charming restaurant/Café that is connected to the store. Old fashion tree tables with old wine bottles are placed around in the inspiring room and matching the rest of the old unique style in the building.
NB. They do not serve wine or alcohol but the menu card has a lot of other delicious drinks and coffees.
You walk up a little staircase and then you are in the store. Old fashion clothes, shoes and accessories will meet your eye. You get the feeling of walking in your own fairytale and it’s differently not your ordinary brand but also a kind of lifestyle you get inspired by when you visit the fabulous store. Unlike other local brands, Initial never used any supermodels or celebrity endorsements; instead the Japanese-influenced brand began as a tiny store in the suburbs and rapidly expanded within 7 years.
The staff was very kind and showed me their entire hats collection from England which I was very interested in. My boyfriend knows all about my passion for hats and bought me the trendiest hat in the store.

136 Companies exhibiting for the first time at Fashion Access

The global fashion market is constantly evolving. New companies promote and progress developing trends. New exhibitors provide the window through which these movements can be viewed.

At Fashion Access (FA) there are 136 companies exhibiting for the first time. That's an extraordinarily large number for one exhibition. What do they offer? What trends do they foretell? Visitors to the exhibition will know.

The demand for higher-end and luxury fashion and lifestyle products has remained remarkably strong. Although demand in some countries is down, due largely to national economic conditions, in others it is buoyant and continues to grow.

That growth is best shown in several so-called ‘emerging’ economies: for example India, Brazil, Russia and, of course, China.

This sector-wide confidence is demonstrated at Fashion Access by the 640 plus exhibitors present. They come from 30 countries and regions with some 15 group pavilions.

Fashion Access is held twice a year. This event focuses upon fashion trend forecasts for Autumn-Winter 2011/12.

The range of lifestyle products on display – providing ‘Fashion from head to toe’ – is comprehensive, including bags, footwear, branded fashion collections, leather garments, leathergoods and travelware.

Seminars (two notably by PeclersParis and Stylesight) and fashion presentations (Dress Up!) also take place throughout the fair. Seminars deliberately crossover into APLF - Materials, Manufacturing & Technology (APLF - MM&T) areas to appeal to both FA and APLF - MM&T participants, thus further reinforcing the synergy between both fairs.

Date: March 30 to April 1, 2011
Venue: Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, Wanchai, Hong Kong

Pocket Watch 2011

When I were on my holiday in Denmark I found an old pocket watch in my moms jewel casket.
I have found a leather leash and wearing the old antique pocket watch around my neck.
They were the most common type of watch from their development in the 16th century until wristwatches became popular after world war 1 during which a transitional design, trench watches, were used by the military.
I love all the stars, peace sign and skeletons –but I think I need a refresh.
The funny thing about the neck less - the pocket watch has belonged to my grand father and now I have styled the old watch in a new cool way with a simple leather leash.
“Wow” I just love the new look

New colours from Chanel

The upcoming colours from Chanel in 2011
Black Pearl is a very beautiful colour but I don’t think I want to wear the dark colour as my primary summer colour.
Peche Nacree and Pearl Drop are the next two colours and actually I think I want to buy the trendy summer colours
-not because Chanel is the best product
Actually I think it’s poor quality but the new colours match almost everything and that’s why Chanel gets my attention this summer.

Smells like summer

My 2 favourite perfumes is Acqua di parma-Magnolia nobile and La Prairie – life threads gold
The perfume Magnolia Nobile is the perfect choice for a hot summer day. The perfume smells like lemon and fresh you up.

In 2001 Acqua di parma was acquired by the world's foremost producer and distributor of luxury goods—LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
While the label continues to reside at the forefront of beauty and fashion, Acqua di Parma also holds true to its original roots and production practices: the essence is still distilled entirely by hand, and the packaging is still hand designed and crafted by skilled craftsmen and experts using the same tried and true methods as in the past.

Its fascinating history began in 1916 in a small perfume factory in Parma, Italy, a city of enviable culture, tradition, and sophistication. By the 1930s, the cologne had become so popular that its production had to be increased in order to meet the market's demands. And during that time Colonia became the perfume of choice for men and women of discerning taste and sophisticated elegance, Hollywood's biggest names included.

In the 1990s, determined to safeguard an Italian classic and a stately brand of unrivalled quality, tradition, and craftsmanship, three prominent Italian entrepreneurs relaunched Acqua di Parma's traditional Colonia scent. They also created a sophisticated line of luxury lifestyle items, which included handcrafted leather goods, handmade perfumed candles, and rich terrycloth bathrobes and towels..

Acqua di Parma's fans include famous international celebrities, style mavens, and world leaders seeking to indulge in Acqua di Parma's coveted "way of life"—a lifestyle of elegance and understated sophistication that will always complement a classic-yet-contemporary cosmopolitan customer.
When the dark shows up and you want to impress people with a sensual scent
I’ll prefer Life threads gold - sweet and flowering.

Summertime in Hong Kong

Now I’m back in Hong Kong and – wow- it’s summertime.
Why not go shopping?
To day I visit Figaro and found a black dress.
Please see picture below.

I want to wear my new black dress when I’m going to Macaw. The black dress is perfect for the summertime and looks awesome with some trendy shoes.

My next two darlings are a long beach dress and a white top. This is “must have” in 2011.
Please see pictures below.

Soon I’ll go to the beach and I want to look hot. I’m going to wear the long dress with a big and black summer hat and of cause my black sunglasses.

The white top is sweet and you can mix and match with everything. That’s the reason why the white top is so important for your summer closet!
Please see the picture below.
I show 2 examples of how to mix and match
