Festival des Métiers- Hermès

Have you ever wondered how your Hermès bag or your beautiful scarf has been made? I got the chance to walk behind the scene and ask all my questions to the people who actually create the products. Today I visited the Festival Des Métiers and stepped into the creative and inspiring world of Hermès.

I watched an engraver of Hermès scarf’s- a professional French lady named Nadine Rabilloud and learned all about her artwork. She uses up to 54 different colours to make the scarf and use transparent paper layers to draw all the details by hand, which is very impressive. She has to be very careful and precise when she draws all the details and uses different pens. Please look at the picture below and see how she made the skin of a native American look real and authentic.

All in all - It will take 2 years to produce 1 blue print for a scarf. Based on my experience today I  promise you that their scarves are all the money worth.
Please look at the pictures below and discover how the creative people create scarves, bags, shirts, ties and gloves.
