Festival des Métiers- Hermès

Have you ever wondered how your Hermès bag or your beautiful scarf has been made? I got the chance to walk behind the scene and ask all my questions to the people who actually create the products. Today I visited the Festival Des Métiers and stepped into the creative and inspiring world of Hermès.

I watched an engraver of Hermès scarf’s- a professional French lady named Nadine Rabilloud and learned all about her artwork. She uses up to 54 different colours to make the scarf and use transparent paper layers to draw all the details by hand, which is very impressive. She has to be very careful and precise when she draws all the details and uses different pens. Please look at the picture below and see how she made the skin of a native American look real and authentic.

All in all - It will take 2 years to produce 1 blue print for a scarf. Based on my experience today I  promise you that their scarves are all the money worth.
Please look at the pictures below and discover how the creative people create scarves, bags, shirts, ties and gloves.

Michael Kors

Tommy Hilfiger is reportedly joining forces with his label's original investors Silas Chou and Lawrence Stroll, to invest in Michael Kors - who is said to be selling an equity stake of 25 per cent.

Kors is hoping to raise $500 million (£313.725 million), to fund his global expansion plans. The designer is looking for a private placement, followed by a public offering. A financial source told WWD that any deals will be announced in July. Hilfiger himself has refused to comment on the rumours, although admitted the label would be a wise business acquisition.

The seven images are inspired by classic portrait paintings and features recreations of iconic works, including Whisler’s mother and Francisco De Zurbaran’s Saint Dorothy, with the new Louboutin pjeces included, of course.
